A 13-year-old boy used the eBay account and password belonging to a friend’s mother to win auctions totaling about $3.53 million on May 24, 2002. He made the purchases on the Internet using computers in his science class at Beaver Middle School in Ohio. Items the boy attempted to purchase include a helicopter (at $1.94 million), a jet (at $351,528), a pick-up truck, and motorbikes.
